3. Areas of expertise
The Eight Departments in a Faculty has its own specific area of expertise:
Anatomy trains and conducts researches in the general structure of the normal human body integrates teaching and participates in the field of diagnostic imaging.
The Department of Physiology trains and studies the physiological functions of the human body, the field of hematology, blood transfusion, and carries out functional exploration.
The Department of Embryology teaches and implements researches into the normal microstructure of the human body, intensively implements researches in the fields of culture, tissue preservation, semen testing, and sperm filter to support reproduction.
The Department of Microbiology teaches and researches pathogenic microorganisms, intensively goes into the field of testing for detecting pathogenic microorganisms and drug-resistant bacteria with routine and biological molecule techniques.
The Department of Parasitology teaches and researches pathogenic parasites, deeply carries out researches in the fields of testing to detect all kinds of pathogenic parasites.
The Department of Biochemistry teaches and conducts researches into the structure and metabolism of substances in the human body, and performs biochemical tests and molecular biology tests for patients.
The Department of Physiology - Immunology teaches and conducts researches on pathogenesis, normal immune responses, and immunological disorders, performs immunological tests in diagnosis and clinical testing before birth and assisted reproduction, molecular biology assay, and supports organ transplantation.
The Department of Pathology teaches and conducts scientific researches on the pathological image of cells and tissues, and carries researches intensively in the field of cytology and histopathology.
The Faculty has carried out and participated in multi-levels (ministry level, provincial level, university level, and school level). Areas of researches include basic research, applied research, educational science research (research on genetic polymorphism in cancer, genetic mutations in thalassemia, and HLA studies in organ transplantation. …).
4. High technical/special services/Lab system
The Faculty has used specialized testing techniques for hospital training and clinical (Real-time PCR technology, PCR for diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of microbiological infections, antenatal screening techniques, and assisted reproduction, tissue culture and preservation techniques, cell and histopathological techniques, biochemistry, immunology techniques). Currently, the Faculty is developing a stem cell laboratory project, expanding the development of a molecular biology laboratory, and using specialized immunological techniques to help diagnose and treat patients.
5. International cooperation activities:
