Overview

Abstract:

This study aims to assess the current situation and propose solutions for

organizing a student-choice-based Physical Education (PE) program at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Using surveys, interviews, and document analysis, the results show that both students and lecturers highly value the need to diversify PE courses according to individual interests and capabilities. Badminton, volleyball, shuttlecock kicking, and soccer are the most preferred activities among students. The university’s current facilities and teaching staff are generally sufficient

to support the implementation of an elective PE program. The study recommends developing a flexible, diverse, and personalized PE curriculum to enhance students’ physical training effectiveness and motivation.
