Background: Imbalanced Sex Ratio at Birth (ISRB) have many causes, including the limited awareness of people. This study aims to: assess the knowledge, attitudes and practices on ISRB of reproductive age couple in Thai Nguyen city.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 330 reproductive age couples in Thai Nguyen city in 2018.

Results: The proportion of subjects with general knowledge about ISRB at good level was 42.4%; moderate level 29.1% ; and weak level 28.5%. The proportion of general attitude about ISRB at good level was 37.3%, moderate level 36.4% and weak level 26.3%. The proportion of general practice about ISRB at good level was 25.5%;  moderate level 67.8% and weak level 6.7%.

Conclusion: The knowledge, attitudes and practices about ISRB of reproductive age couple in Thai Nguyen are still limited.
