Overview

Abstract:

A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted to evaluate the quality of life and clinical factors related to the quality of life of asthma patients at Thai Nguyen National Hospital. The study was carried out on 126 patients, the data was done on a set of pre-prepared questionnaires. The results showed that: The average score of overall quality of life of patients with asthma was 4.4 ± 0.9 points. In which, the quality of life score in the field of emotional function is the highest with 4.6 ± 1.3 points, the lowest is in the area of motor restriction with 4.0 ± 1.1 points. There is a statistically significant difference in the degree of impact on quality of life between the two groups with comorbidities and no comorbidities; between the BMI group under 23 and over 23; have a history of asthma, smoke and no history of asthma, smoke with p<0.05. The study recommends strengthening communication and health education for patients; Support the patient's pension scheme to increase their income, especially for the elderly, people with comorbidities, and people without a stable income.
