Overview

Abstract:

Objective: To describable the hematologic, biochemistry among preterm newborns at the Pediatric Department of Thai Nguyen General hospital. Methods: Series description, Results: In the study period, there are 84 cases of the preterm newborn enrolled. Including is 65,5% males, 34,5% females. The minimal gestational age is 26 weeks, maximal is 37 weeks and the mean is 33 weeks. For gestational weight mean is 2034,2gram, the minimal is 850gram, the maximal is 2700gram. There are 83,3% natural childbirth, the rate of choke is 21,4%. 89,3% mothers during pregnancy healthy. Almost of mothers during pregnancy were check examine. In laboratories, percentage of abnormal white blood cell count increased during the first 3 days (12%) and in 3 days postpartum (9.53%). The number of red blood cells and hemoglobin decreased significantly when compared to the first 3 days (54.76%, 82.12%) and 3 days (76.19%, 89.28%). Most preterm infants have reduced blood glucose; 3 days 85.9%, 3 days to 73.38 percent. Premature infants were prothrombin clotting disorder components, APTT, Fibrinogen in the second time of taking the blood; 3 days (91%, 92.85%, 88.34%), 3 days postpartum (100%, 96.42%; 77.39%). Conclusion: Through research we found that almost all preterm infants with a large variation of biochemical and hematological indices. Doctors need to pay attention to the hematological and biochemical indexes even when there is no clinical evidence in order to have timely treatment to reduce mortality in preterm infants.
