Overview

Abstract:

Vaccines against COVID-19 are made with different prices, effectiveness and side effects. This
study aims to determine the willingness to pay for a COVID-19 vaccine in Vietnam during the fourth
wave of COVID-19. The online study included 2093 unvaccinated subjects aged 18 years and
over. Multivariate logistic regression was used to identify factors related to willingness to pay for
vaccination. Research results show that the proportion of subjects
had willingness to pay for Astra
Zeneca vaccine; Sputnik V; Pfizer-BioNTech was 69.6% respectively; 70.0%; 67.8%. There was a
relationship between occupational factors,
household income
, history of allergies, job change due
to COVID-19 and willingness to pay to use Astra Zeneca vaccine; between occupation, household
economy, job change and willingness to pay for Sputnik V vaccine and between occupation, household
economics, chronic illness, history of allergies, job change, risk of infection with HIV willingness to
pay to use the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine (p < 0.05)
