Description of the program
The Training Program for Specialist Doctor level I in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation aims to provide learners with the basic knowledge of anesthesia, resuscitation, and pain relief in common and intensive surgeries so that leaners can work as an anesthetist at medical facilities.

Through the program, learners can obtain the basic knowledge of respiratory physiology, circulation, anatomy related to anesthesiology and resuscitation, and anesthesiology and resuscitation drugs which they can apply into their profession later. In addition, the program also provides learners with the knowledge of anesthesia, resuscitation, pain relief for special surgeries such as: chest injury, traumatic brain injury, limb injury, anesthesia in children and anesthesia techniques in patients with comorbidities: anesthesia in patients with hypertension, and diabetes mellitus.
The training program for Specialist Doctor level I in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation lasts within three years, in which learners have to study two full-time terms each year. Teaching language of the program is Vietnamese. This is a patient-centered learning program. Learners have chances to access clinical situations from the first year. They can improve their knowledge through numerous surgical cases at the Department of Anesthesia and Resuscitation at Thai Nguyen National Hospital and Hospital of Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy. These are large practice hospitals of the university where there are variety in disease models, numerous operations, modern anesthesia, resuscitation and pain-relief equipment, which greatly support help learners to obtain a lot of practical experience and knowledge.
Employment after completing the program
After completing the program, learners can perform proficiently the techniques of anesthesia, resuscitation and pain relief in medical facilities and/or participate in training activities in medical education institutions and state health management agency
