COURSE NAME: BASIC NUTRITION

Objectives

Knowledge:

• Apply some basic knowledge about nutrition to be able to monitor, evaluate nutritional status, and provide nutritional counseling for different patients and clients.

Skills:

• Evaluate nutritional status for patients/clients.

• Build a reasonable menu for patients/clients.

• Evaluate the conditions to ensure food safety and hygiene in collective kitchens.

Attitude:

• Recognize the importance of developing, implementing and complying with a healthy diet.

• Recognize the importance of ensuring food safety and hygiene in the process of choosing, processing and using food.

Duration: 30 teaching hours
