Objectives
Knowledge:
• Describe and distinguish symptoms and syndromes in mental illnesses.
• Apply knowledge for primary diagnosis and management of some common mental illnesses and mental emergencies.
• Apply knowledge for initial management of psychiatric emergencies and some common mental illnesses.
Skills:
• Accurately identify symptoms and psychosis syndrome.
• Make decisions on diagnosis, initial treatment and counseling on emergency mental illnesses and common mental illnesses for timely referral.
• Perform and evaluate a number of psychological tests to support the diagnosis and screening of some mental diseases.
Attitude:
• Recognize the importance of early and timely detection of symptoms and syndromes of mental illness.
• Recognize the importance of early detection, diagnosis, and timely management of specific emergencies in psychiatry.
• Respect, sympathize, share, and wholeheartedly serve the sick.
